Tavistock, Devon
About Us
We are a small, vibrant, independent cafe in Tavistock, offering the finest meals to suit any time of day or social occassion. Cakes are are made fresh everyday and are set on display above the counter to the rear of the cafe. Examples can be found on the Welcome page.

We use local ingredients to deliver the finest meals, from bread made by Hugo at Teign Valley Bakery and fresh Westcountry cheeses. We pride ourselves in supporting local sources of produce. Fresh salads are also prepared daily, inspired by the great Ottolenghi, combining taste sensations from all forms of cuisine.

Fiona opened The Kitchen at the end of February 2016 after the premises at number 2 Russell Street underwent an extensive face lift. With soft blue, purple and green colouring, Fiona has created an astonishing cafe environment. Vintage cups and saucers dangle from the ceiling to add an aura of class. There was just one thing missing...
Fiona's friend Kate came to the rescue and has created the stunning wall made up of a collage of different wallpaper samples. The idea was to create a cafe setting like no other in Tavistock, with Kate certainly delivering. We provide just a small snippet of this magnificent work of art below.
With over 30 years experience as a chef, this is the perfect setting for Fiona to showcase her exceptional skills.
